Huawei’s Latest Smart Devices Land in Singapore

Singapore, 2 June 2011: Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation
telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today introduced the
first out-of-the-box mass-market Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread) smartphone, the Huawei
IDEOS™ X3. The ultra-stylish and ultra-thin Huawei IDEOS X3 blends sleek hardware with
high-performing software to help users more effectively manage their communication and
social networking activities.
Singapore will also be the first country in the world to see the launch of the Huawei
Boulder, a 9.9mm thin Android 2.2 (Froyo) device that combines an interactive touchscreen
with a full QWERTY keypad.
At the event, Huawei also announced the upcoming availability of the Huawei IDEOS™ X6
for the Singapore market. This new smartphone will offer consumers range and choices for
a top-of-the-line series, equipped with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and powered by
Android 2.2, which will be upgradeable to Android 2.3.


In addition to the new range of Android smartphones, Huawei also introduced the latest
iteration of the Huawei Mobile WiFi Smart Pro wireless modem. This device, the
precursor to LTE (Long Term Evolution), the latest standard in the mobile network
technology, is an intelligent device that automatically selects the best high-speed Internet
connection available (up to 21 Mbps).
“The IDEOS range and our latest mobile broadband solutions are intuitive, simple to use
products that offer users an enhanced mobile experience integrated seamlessly across
different wireless technologies,” said Mr. Alan Wong, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei
Terminal, South Pacific. “As we move into 2011, Huawei will continue to lead the drive to
provide consumers with smart mobile connectivity at the right price.”


The Huawei IDEOS X3 smartphone: Intuitive, power-efficient, ultra-stylish
The Huawei IDEOS X3, featuring an ultra-slim exterior, is a high-performing smartphone
that boasts a 3.2-inch capacitive HVGA touchscreen and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It is the
thinnest device in the 3.2-inch screen range on the market. The smartphone runs on the
latest Android 2.3 platform, which features a refined user interface that makes the
smartphone easy to navigate, more intuitive and more power-efficient.
The Huawei IDEOS X3 also comes standard with applications that allow users to easily
manage information and seamlessly syncs their various social communication channels.


The Huawei Boulder: Slim social media powerhouse
The Huawei Boulder, featuring a slim 9.9mm candybar form factor, is a powerhouse social
media smartphone that boasts a full QWERTY keypad and speedy Power-on, as well as a
bright 2.6-inch capacitive HVGA touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and Android 2.2
platform.
With multiple Social Network Services (SNS) integration, the Huawei Boulder is ideal for the
social media-savvy youth, and the young at heart.


Huawei IDEOS X6 Smartphone: Intelligent, with fast connectivity anywhere, any time
Providing connectivity anywhere, anytime, the Huawei IDEOS X6 is a classy smartphone
equipped with the Android 2.2 platform with all the latest Google services and peak
download speeds of 14.4Mbps. With a 5-megapixel camera, huge 4.1-inch LCD capacitive
touchscreen, high-definition video recording and playback, and Dolby mobile surround sound
and HDMI video-out; the Huawei IDEOS X6 also offers a fantastic entertainment experience.

Product availability in Singapore:
• The Huawei IDEOS X3 will be available from 15 June 2011.
• The Huawei Boulder and IDEOS X6 will be available by end June 2011.
• The Huawei Mobile WiFi Smart Pro will be available in Q3 2011.
